If you would like to date stamp various types of policy documents automatically when they’re viewed and possibly printed by your user base, we have a solution for you. Our DocuShare PDF Stamper customization lets you select which documents are to be stamped and how they’re to be stamped and does so on the fly when users click on them. There’s an option to apply a stamp only once a day to avoid redundant processing and to speed up retrieval. You can place the stamp anywhere you want on the page with easy options to select the center or various edge positions. You can select the font, size, color, and opacity for watermark results. Within DocuShare we use a document property that lets you select the text string you want to use in the stamp using a menu selection. The stamp phrases are contained within a small xml file where you include a variable for the current or future date. The installation for this would take about 30 minutes; installation instructions are provided. PDF Stamper currently works on DocuShare 6.5.3 and 6.6.1 and we will update it as necessary. A third party product is also required for this installation for a cost of $25.00: Advanced Command Line PDF Stamper. A link is included in the download package.
